FEP Insulated Twisted Pair with Screen (210°C)
We supply FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) insulated thermocouple extension cable with 7/0.2mm dia conductors in thermocouple cable types KX, JX & NX. Each conductor is insulated in FEP. The cores are then twisted, screened with polyester tape, tin coated copper wire braided and then overall sheathed in FEP. This style of cable is particularly suitable for the automotive industry due to the flexibility of FEP. All conductors used are made from the relevant thermocouple material and meets IEC 60584-1 Class 2 up to the maximum operating temperature of the insulating material. The insulation material is colour coded to IEC 60584-3 as shown below.
